He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Simenstad and Margaret Lindstrom Simenstad; his daughter Betsy Jo; and his sisters, Margie Kuschke Moberg and Mary Neisler.
He is survived by: his former wife Roberta Fischer; his wife Betty; his children, Scott Simenstad (Nancy), Joseph Simenstad (Heather) of Aitkin, Maria Petersen (Doug), Elizabeth Linster (Ken) of Drayton, ND and Sherry Tostrup (John) of Viking, MN; his nephew Mark Kuschke (Randi); and his nieces, Kim Mueske (LaVern) and Linda Browning. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.
