He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest L. Burnard and Pearl C. Burnard (Larson); his grandson Sean Avenson; his great grandchild Brian Jensen; and his siblings, Floyd, Marion, Emma, June, Hazel, Bernice, Mildred, Inez and Esther.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Pat" (Gralow); his children, Joanne Larson of Aitkin, Ron Burnard (Cyndi) of Brainerd, Linda Magnan (Dave) of Brainerd, Sheila Avenson (Randy) of Merrifield and Tim Burnard (Lynette) of Brainerd; his stepson Rich Sly of Worthington; and his siblings, George Burnard, Helen Arnold (Jim) and Shirley Young (Scott). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
