He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Bentley and Flossie Bentley (Shanks); and his siblings, Glen, Bud, Betty and Mike.

He is survived by: his wife Carol; his daughter Sandy Bentley (Tom); and his stepgrandsons, Gabriel Williams and Benjamin Williams (Lisa). He is also survived by five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
