He was predeceased by: his parents, Burton Halland and Beulah Halland (Lee); his wife Jean Anderson; and his brother Kurt Halland. He is survived by: his children, Erik Halland (Amanda) and Kristina Kampa (Andy); his grandchildren, Finn, Leif and Soren; his sister Judy Allen (John); and his nephews, Jack Allen and Kurt Allen.

In Lieu of Flowers, donations in memory of Dan may be made to Lutheran Church of the Cross, Nisswa.
