He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Gilster and Evelyn Gilster (Nohrenberg); his wife Nancy Ann McCormick; his brother Harold Gilster; his father-in-law Dorn McCormick; his brother-in-law Chum Sycks; and his daughter-in-law Christine Gilster.
He is survived by: his sister Doreen Sycks; his children, Terry Gilster (Deb), Dean Gilster (Cindy) and Hollie Eastlund (Ryan); his grandchildren, Anthony Gilster (Makayla), Dylan Gilster, Alyssa Gilster, Debbie Gilster (Dakota Hagen) and Ericka Eastlund; and his great grandchildren, Casyn, Arayah Gilster and Violette Hagen. He is also survived by five step-grandchildren.
