He was predeceased by: his former wife Evelyn Bode; his grandson Justin Bloomer; his brother-in-law Troy Shult; and his parents, LaRoy Bode and Alma Bode (Dallmann).
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Bloomer (Glenn) of Woodbury, Connie Zimmerman (Joel) of Nicollet, Susan Padfield (Rick) of Shakopee, Cindy Rose (Bill) of North Mankato, Kathy Olsem (Brian) of Waconia and David Bode (Kelly) of Nicollet; his sisters, LaDonna Shult of Winthrop and Dianne Wolff (Robert) of Lake City; and his wife Evelyn "Evy" Schroeder. He is also survived by his 17 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren, many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
