He is survived by: his wife Donna (Hilgers) of Paul's Catholic Church; his children, Ron P. Giefer of Nicollet, Bob Giefer of Orr, Tim Giefer (Lorie) of New Ulm, Sue Johnson (Kenny) of St. Peter, Dan Giefer (Lisa) of North Mankato and Jen Steffensmeier (Kevin) of Otsego; his grandchildren, Niki Giefer, Kellen Giefer, Kourtney Giefer, Clarissa Giefer, Kyle Johnson, Lexi Johnson, Hailey Steffensmeier and Zack Steffensmeier; his great grandchildren, Aubree Giefer and Jacob Sokolofsky; and his sisters-in-law, Sharon Giefer of Northfield and Phyllis Granaas of Mankato. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
