He was predeceased by: his siblings, Florence Wurmstein (Larry), Virginia Manthey (Dick), Aurelia Plautz, Frank Rieger and Quentin Rieger; his granddaughter-in-law Madeleine Hopp; and his parents, Frank Rieger and Aurelia Rieger (Simmett).
He is survived by: his wife Ardella; his children, Jean Hopp, Gail Blaschko (Ken) and Scott Rieger (Bonnie); his grandchildren, Jeff Hopp, Shawn Fouse, Mindi Squires (Greg) and Ben Rieger; his great grandchildren, Savannah and Darius Squires; and his siblings-in-law, Helen Rieger, Audrey Rieger, Molly Rengstorf (Dave) and Linus Plautz. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
