He was predeceased by: his wife Veronica; his grandchildren, Raymond and Patricia; his parents, Joseph and Helen; and his siblings, Joseph and Catherine Lighten.

He is survived by: his son Duane; his grandson Ryan Hatch; his sisters, Helen Chiarella and Marlene Knack; and his sister-in-law Pat Franek. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
