It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Michael Schmitz Jr. of Newport, Minnesota, born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, who passed away on August 13, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Beverly Schmitz; his parents, Michael William Schmitz Sr. and Rita Schmitz (Mroszak); and his sister Caroline Feldick. He is survived by: his sisters, Laurie Avoles and Joanne George; his children, Michael Schmitz III (Susan) and Stephanie Rice (Marty); and his grandchildren, Anna Schmitz, Mary Schmitz and Michael Schmitz IV. He is also survived by many sisters and brothers-in-laws, nieces, great-nieces, nephews, great-nephews.
