He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Messer and Loraine Messer; and his brother Jim. He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Travis (Heather) and Traci Stewart; his grandchildren, Samantha Messer, Tyler Messer, Kyle Stewart (Ashley), Richard Stewart and Jessie Stewart; his great grandchildren, Gracelyn, Lucas, Charleigh and Meredith; and his siblings, Judy Bauer, Stephen Mead, Larry Klein and Ron Rupe.
