He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger and Mary; his parents-in-law, James and Anna Stewart of Abbeville, LA; and his brother-in-law James "Rookie" Stewart of Youngsville, LA..

He is survived by: his wife Rena; his sons, Derick (Christen) of Cataula, GA and Brock (Tammy) of Roslyn, SD; his grandchildren, Connor, Lucy, Jacob, Brynlee, Ava, Shane and Charles; his siblings, Laurie Kraushar (Jay) of Aberdeen, SD, Julie Davies of West St, Connie Emerson (Jay) of South St, Mary Pat Horton (Mike) of Cottage Grove and Michael; his sisters-in-law, Donna Flowers of Broussard, LA and Tonya Stewart (Troy Leger) of Maurice, LA; his aunt Frances Gilbert of Shreveport, LA; his pet Shelly; and his extended family, Roth and Cody Knight. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
