He was predeceased by: his parents, Hjalmer Hjelle and Hannah Hjelle; his siblings, Clarice, Grace, Hilton, Kenneth and Clayton; his grandsons, Nicholas Warne and Todd Hjelle; his daughter-in-law Sue Hjelle; and his siblings-in-law, Carl Hjelle, Dennis Walz and Joan Hjelle.
He is survived by: his children, Sherry and Dean; his wife Betty Hjelle; his children, Russell Hjelle of Hillsboro, ND. and Wayne Hjelle (Tracy); his grandchildren, Jordan, Sammie, Travis, Jessica, Austin, Chris and Cheyenne; his sister Linda Walz of Stephen; and his sisters-in-law, Gwen Hjelle and Ruby Hjelle. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
