He was predeceased by: his parents, Charley Amberg and Helen Amberg (Fraki); his siblings, Linda Amberg, Aileen Maki, Lorraine Barthel, Marcy Helmeke, David Amberg and Paul Amberg; his nephew Gary Maki; and his brothers-in-law, Ken Maki and Dick Helmeke.
He is survived by: his son Erick; and his sisters, Elaine Paavola (Einar), Brenda Boyne (Keith), Becky Lohse (Brian), Sandy Speed (Steve) and Abbe Campbell (Tom).
