She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Holger Osland and Esther Osland (McNairnay); her aunt Evelyn (Ivan Lee) of Staples; her adoptive mother Nancy; her parents-in-law, Ina, Yalmer Karvonen and Nancy; her daughter Nancy; her husband Harold Karvonen; her siblings, Roger Lee and Virginia Haakana; her niece Lori Haakana; her children, Kay Browne (Jerry Reid), Barb Rice (Bill), Fargo, Beverly Bradley (Pat), John Karvonen (Natty), Janet Montgomery (Al), Greg Karvonen (Suzi), Mills of New York, Erik Karvonen and Phoenix; her grandchildren, Sarah Browne, Ryan Browne (Monica), Marissa Winegarden (Erik), Stacy Forthun (Jay), Bismarck, Mandy Stewart (Chip), Dallas, John Bradley (Jamie), Edina, Reid Bradley (Bethany), Kjersten Bradley of Providence, RI, Aaron Karvonen (Megan Pettow), Haley Flanigan (Tarrel), Lexy Ziemann (Taylor), Clayton Blickenstaff (Brittany), Maya Vukelich (Dave), David Montgomery (Sonja), St Paul, Matt Montgomery, Sophie Montgomery (Andrew Stuart) and John Montgomery; her great grandchildren, Paxton, Oscar, Harriet, Rosie, June, Duncan, Berk, Brooklyn, Cade, Adam, Miles, Malia, Colten, Ruby, Tait, Brooks, Cruz and Griffin; and her sister-in-law Mills of New York.
In 1992, Nancy and Harold donated the original furniture store building that later became the New York Mills Regional Cultural Center.
