With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph Hofmann of New York Mills, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 9, 2025 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joseph Hofmann to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Hofmann and Ida Hofmann (Imholte); his brother Carl Hofmann; his nephew Michael Lex; and his great-nephew Cody Lex.
He is survived by: his sister Alice Lex of New York Mills; his nieces and nephews, Judy Lex, Barb Lex, Peter Lex, John Lex, Tom Lex (Kitti Kivi-Lex), Mary Osowski (Rodney), Susan Schroer (Rick) and Steven Lex (Michelle); and also, Autumn, Emerson and Theo.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Henry's Catholic Church (234 2nd Ave SW, Perham, MN 56573). A rosary was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 12:45 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. The military honors was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 2:15 PM to 2:30 PM at the St. Henry's Catholic Church Cemetery (Minneapolis, MN).
Memorial Contributions: In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Henry's Catholic Church or the Perham VFW in honor of Joe's memory.
