We are sad to announce that on July 30, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Fred Stroot of New York Mills, Minnesota, born in Wadena, Minnesota. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Stroot and Helen Stroot (Geiser); his sister Karen; his brother-in-law Norbert Husby; and his godson Jacob Stroot.

He is survived by: his significant other Diane Schwartz (Schwartz); his children, Malcolm, Samuel and Anna; his siblings, Carol Husby, Jim Stroot (Pat), Mary Keppers (Dave), Bill Stroot (Aggie), Ellen Cherne (Ron), Judy Harthun (Doug) and Adele Lausten (Mark); his aunts, Mary Stroot (Gene), Ilene Reagan (Jack) and Lifelong; and his friend Bruce Veden. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family and great friends.
