She was predeceased by: her parents, Selma Korby (Blom) and Edward Korby; her husband Kenneth Welter; her son Dean; and her siblings, Irene Perala (Jess), Carl Korby (Kaye), James Korby and Richard Korby.
She is survived by: her children, Jona Hamilton (Doug), Daniel Welter (Bonnie), Darin "Doob" Welter (Julie) and Peggy Day (Jim); her daughter-in-law Deb Welter; her grandchildren, Kristi Johnson, Brent Welter, Bethany Hamilton (Travis), Nicole Seifert (Curtis), Katie Ackerman (Drew), Samantha Schroeder (Scott), Brea Ehrreich (Travis), Kelsey Hammer (Ryan), Evan Welter (Alyssa), Ashley Day and Angel Day (Issac); her great grandchildren, Caleb Welter, Michael, Ellie Johnson, Natalie, Lydia, Simon Seifert, RaeLynn, Zella Ackerman, Violet, Theo, Alex Schroeder, Brody Hammer, Maverick Hammer, Ivan Patrick and Evelyn Gawboy; her brother Jon Korby; and her sister-in-law Carole Korby. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Apostolic Lutheran Church (315 Main Ave S, New York Mills, MN 56567). A prayer was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A memorial service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Apostolic Lutheran Church.
