He is survived by: his wife Mary Schaefer of New Ulm; his children, Cecilia Fruhwirth (Timothy) of Cottage Grove, Lawrence Schaefer of Houston, Glen Schaefer (Brenda) of Brownton and Willis Jr. "Willie" Schaefer (Linda); his grandchildren, Christina Smith (Tim) of Cottage Grove, Courtney Messner (Logan) of New Ulm, Josh Fruhwirth and Nathan Fruhwirth of Cottage Grove; his sister Leora Mae Windschitl of New Ulm; and his parents, Arthur Schaefer and Rose Schaefer (Palmer).
