He was predeceased by: his father Lloyd Schreyer; his brother Randal Schreyer; and his niece Nadine. He is survived by: his mother Joyce Schreyer (Church) of Oregon; his children, Holly Berg (Rick) of New Ulm, Cody Schreyer (Willow) of St. Clair and Jesse Schreyer (Hannah) of New Ulm; and his siblings, Karen Mellot of Eugene, Oregon, Pattee of Christmas Valley, Oregon, Gary W. Schreyer of New Ulm and Jon L. Schreyer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
