She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Langstraat and Grace Langstraat (Uittenbogaard); her husband Verlin Goering; her daughter Diane Pullman; her son-in-law Wade Pullman; her brothers, Robert and Rodney (Alma); her in-laws, Daniel, Kitsey Goering, Harold Goering and Gene Goering; and also Winifred.
She is survived by: her daughters, Valerie Goering of Apple Valley, MN and Nancy Schmiesing (Bruce); her grandchild Thomas of Apple Valley, MN; her siblings, Darlene Harskamp (Ken) of Fort Myers, Beverly Van Berkel (Gene) of Sioux Center, Glenda Jager (Gary) of George, Iowa and Brad Langstraat of Jackson, MN; and her stepsiblings, Twyla Vaas, Rod, Karlene Van't Hof, Darryl, Ruth Vaas, Owen and Eulyn Dykshorn.
Shirley had specified that memorial funds be given to World Vision, Smile Train, MercyShips.org, and the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
