Ruth L. Skoglund Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth L. Skoglund of New Ulm, Minnesota, who passed away on April 9, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ruth L. Skoglund to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Olson and Florence Olson; her husband L. Victor "Vic" Skoglund; her brother Wendell; and her son-in-law Gail Wark.
She is survived by: her children, Susan Evans of Prior Lake, Paul Skoglund (Nance) of Mahtomedi and James (Gail) of Shakopee; her grandchildren, Brandon (Amanda) of Shakopee, Amanda (Elson) of Prior Lake, Stephanie (William) of Bloomington, Krista (Christopher) of Forest Lake and Daniel (Kade) of Owatonna; and her great grandchildren, David, Gia, Blaine, Zylia, Lily, Estella, Hadley and Campbell.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Savior's Lutheran Church (1400 S State St, New Ulm, MN 56073). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery (7601 34th Ave S, Minneapolis, MN 55450).
