He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Otto and Helen Kaupa (O'Keefe); and his stepfather Herb Gehrke. He is survived by: his wife Betty Kaupa of New Ulm; his daughter Diane Berberich (Bruce) of New Ulm; his grandchildren, Lahni Kaupa and Brianna Berberich; and his siblings, Judith Feigh of Eagan, Bobby Gehrke (Deb) of Cleveland and Gary Gehrke (Jayne) of Le Center.
