He was predeceased by: his parents, John Seitz and Irene Seitz; his parents-in-law, Sylvester Zenk and Evelyn Zenk; his brother Gerald Seitz; and his siblings-in-law, Diane Seitz, Norm Howell and Leo Zenk.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Seitz; his children, Elaine Fischer (Steve) of Sleepy Eye, Annette Olson (Dan) of New Ulm and Michael Seitz of Sleepy Eye; his grandchildren, Keith Fischer (Jaime), Craig Fischer (Elizabeth), Kallie, Kaden and Korbin Olson; his great grandchildren, Bryce Fischer and Logan Fischer; his siblings, Marjorie Hurd of Lafayette and Richard Seitz (Joyce) of Lafayette; and his siblings-in-law, Jan Howell of Olivia and Stanley Zenk (Sharon) of Foley. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
