He was predeceased by: his wife Electa Griebel; his grandson Curt Braulick; his great grandchildren, Tommy and Felicity Braulick; his sister Mary; his brother-in-law Gerald Grausam; his brothers, Charles and Bill Griebel; his sisters-in-law, Lucille, Jane, Irene and Doris Griebel; and his parents, Oscar Griebel and Virginia Griebel (Palmer).
He is survived by: his children, Dianne Melzer (Dwight), Joyce Griebel, Kathy Braulick (Fred), Ken Griebel (Sue) and Rich Griebel (Jackie); his grandchildren, Dale Braulick, Ryan Braulick, Carrie Sheely, Keith Griebel, Melissa Fischer, Kyle Braulick, Joel Griebel and Emily Griebel; and his siblings, Myrtle Brand (Don) and Julian Griebel (Janice). He is also survived by 21 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, April 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home-South Chapel (600 S Broadway St, New Ulm, MN 56073). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (18241 1st Ave, New Ulm, MN 56073).
