She was predeceased by: her husband Walter "Pug" Gareis; her brothers, Dennis, Robert Schnobrich and Richard Schnobrich; and her parents, Robert Schnobrich and Gertrude Schnobrich (Dederich).
She is survived by: her children, Jackie Lynn (David) of New Ulm, Mary Pat Kruse (Bob) of St. Clair, Mike Gareis (Laurie) of Avon, Tom Gareis of New Ulm and Bob Gareis (Sandy) of Green Bay, Wisconsin. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
