He was predeceased by: his father-in-law Louie Plaetz; his brothers, Ronald and Gerald Seitz (Diane); and his parents, John Sr. Seitz and Irene Seitz (Franta).
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Seitz of Lafayette; his children, Monica Langston (Perry) of Sioux Falls, Peggy Reimers (Jeremy) of Green Isle and Tom Seitz (Lori) of Fairfax; his grandchildren, Carson, Cole Langston, Makayla, Sydney and Madisyn Seitz; his sister Marj Hurd; his mother-in-law Lucille Plaetz; and his siblings-in-law, Cathy Seitz of Sleepy Eye, Carol Petersen of Arizona, Marie Plaetz of Wabasso, Nancy Tedros (Yoseph) of Florida, Leon Plaetz (Joyce) of Wabasso, Bruce Plaetz (Sherry) of Wabasso and Rusty. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
