He was predeceased by: his parents-in-law, Henry and Clara Liesenfeld; his siblings, Myron Bruns (Lila), Sylvia Wills (Wally), Lois Dauffenbach (Ronnie) and Ardis Wills (Harlan); his siblings-in-law, Lois Bruns and Henry Liesenfeld Jr; his nephews, Leo Liesenfeld, Mike Liesenfeld and Brandon James; his parents, Dietrich Bruns and Stella Bruns (Plagge); and his wife Adeline Liesenfeld.
He is survived by: his children, Sue Christensen (Larry) of Morgan, Karen Traulich (Troy) of New Ulm, Kelly Dalton (Brady) of New Ulm and Kevin Bruns (Chris) of Lafayette; his grandchildren, Heidi Cumberland (Kyle), Holly Bode (Jayme), Mitch Traulich, Shane Traulich, Emma Vaske (Tony) and Erin Christensen; his great grandchildren, Cole Cumberland and Waylon Bode; his brothers, Roger Bruns, Gary Bruns (Shirley) and Tom Bruns (Ann); and his siblings-in-law, Florence Halvorson (Danny), Jane Mueller (Tom), Lydia Liesenfeld and Wilbert Liesenfeld (Jan). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives & friends.
