He was predeceased by: his sisters, Donna Fischer and Shirley Wendt; his brothers-in-law, Steven Beranek and Roger Gunneson; and his parents, Raymond Walter and Adeline Walter (Eckstein).
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Gunneson; his children, Teresa Aschenbrenner (Brian) of Sleepy Eye and Ricky Walter of Sleepy Eye; his grandchildren, Scott Walter (Emily), Steven Walter and McKayla Louks (Devlyn); his great grandchild Wynn Walter; his brother Richard Walter (Denise); and his brother-in-law Jim Fischer (Sharyl).
