He was predeceased by: his parents, Myra Gieseke (Roth) and Raymond Gieseke. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Hacker; his children, Shari Gieseke of St. Cloud, Laura Rademaker (Patrick) and Ross Gieseke (Rebecca) of Nicollet; his grandchildren, Ariana, Isabella, Emmett Gieseke, Willem and Owen Rademaker; his sisters, Linda Kilmer (Larrys) and Jeanne Fries (John); and his siblings-in-law, Richard Hacker (Diana) and LaVonne Fredrickson (Bruce). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
