Peter M. Windschitl Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peter M. Windschitl (New Ulm, Minnesota), who passed away on February 11, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his siblings, Leonard Windschitl (Delores), Gilbert Windschitl (Marlene), Marie Cook (Mel), Herbert and Leo; and his parents, Florian Windschitl and Anna Windschitl (Moldan).
He is survived by: his wife Lois Platz of Springfield; his children, Tim Windschitl of Comfrey, MN, Tami Gardner (Doug) of Eagle Lake, MN, Troy Windschitl (Deb Kruse) of Comfrey, MN and Teri Ebert (Chris) of Rochester, MN; his grandchildren, Josh Gardner (Hope Kilmer) of Mankato, MN, Brett Gardner (Isabelle Schott) of Mankato, MN, Haley Slater (Max) of Rushmore, MN and McKenzie Kruse (Jonathan Swenson) of Luverne, MN; his great grandchildren, Kinsley, Brooks, Kollyns Slater, Kaitlyn and Luke Swenson; and his siblings-in-law, Lloyd Platz of Tempe, Arizona and Bernetta Windschitl of Cold Spring, MN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church-Sleepy Eye (636 1st Ave N, Sleepy Eye, MN 56085). A graveside service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Church of Japanese Martyrs Cemetery (30881 Co Rd 24, Sleepy Eye, MN 56085).
