He was predeceased by: his wife Myerl Nelson; his brother William Nelson; his siblings-in-law, Willard, Gene, Lester, Glenn, Marcus, Frank Bode, Irma Jean and Shirley Bode; and his parents, Norman Sr. Nelson and Mildred Nelson (Tollefson).
He is survived by: his siblings-in-law, Lenora, Bonnie, Rachel, Marcy Bode and Gerold Bode (Carole). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
