We are sad to announce that on November 8, 2021, at the age of 80, Nelson Zimmermann of New Ulm, Minnesota, born in Prescott, Arizona passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Natalie Borgwardt (Daniel) of New Ulm, MN, Patrick Zimmermann of Lakeside, AZ, Monica Zimmermann of Wauwatosa, WI, Seth Zimmermann (Heidi) of Appleton, WI, Ina Zimmermann of Chicago, IL, Melissa Fox of Fairfax, MN and Jacob Zimmermann (Sarah) of Fremont, WI; his wife Phyllis; and his parents, Rev. Raymond and Ina Zimmermann. He was also cherished by 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In retirement Nelson split his time caring for Phyllis who suffered from Alzheimer's disease, working part-time at McDonalds, and pursuing his life-long passions of hunting, fishing, and reading.
