He is survived by: his wife Charlotte; his children, Tracy Ries and Lanny Ries; his granddaughters, Tara and Alyssa; his great grandchildren, Briana, Jacob, Hannah and Owen; his siblings, Harold, Jerry, Tom, Bob Ries and Mary Gieseke; and his siblings-in-law, Linus, Mike, Greg, Brad, Howard, Jon Tauer, Sharon Piotter, Annette Anderson, Denise Tauer, Karlynne Reiniger and Pam Hoven. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
