He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Bruns (Havemeier) and Arthur Bruns. He is survived by: his wife Arleen Bruns (Lange) of New Ulm, Minnesota; his daughters, Kris Felber (George) of Luck and Wendy Grob (Mike) of New Ulm, Minnesota; and his grandchildren, Emily Decker (Al) of Cincinnati and Wesley Grob of New Ulm, Minnesota. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many wonderful friends and family.
