It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marlys Mae Nelson of New Ulm, Minnesota, who passed away on June 12, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Roepke and Ella Roepke (Spiering); her parents-in-law, Gottfred and Alice Nelson; her sisters, Lillian Roepke and Lola; and her siblings-in-law, Elmer Gag, Vreela Nelson and Donald Kettner.

She is survived by: her husband Einar Nelson of Mankato; her daughters, Kathleen Gappa (Rick) of Nicollet, Peggy Dorn (Gary) of Faribault, Susan Nelson of Mankato and Wendy Nelson of St. Peter; her sister LaDonna Kettner of Elk River; her brothers-in-law, Narve Nelson of New Ulm and Thorild Nelson (Ardith) of Nicollet; and her daughter Marlys. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church or the donor's choice.
