She was predeceased by: her husband Eugene Altmann Jr.; her grandchildren, Ryan Nelson and Jenna Vancura; her great grandchild Dominik Walters; her sister Joan; her brother-in-law Asta Reinarts Jr.; and her parents, Fred Bentzin and Myra Bentzin (Gag).
She is survived by: her children, Barb Nelson (Ross) of New Ulm, Karen Altmann of Montgomery, Beth Rewitzer (Tom) of New Ulm, Steve Altmann (Sue) of Eagen, Brad (Lisa Langer) of New Ulm and Bob Altmann (Terri) of Le Sueur. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to New Ulm Area Catholic Schools, New Ulm Public Schools, Oak Hills Living Center and the Way of the Cross.
