With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maria Metzen of New Ulm, Minnesota, who passed away on April 23, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Metzen; her sister Franciska Walek (Marion); and her parents, Maxemilian Rieger and Maria Rieger (Strobl). She is survived by: her brother Franz Rieger (Katerina) of Munich, Germany; her nephews, John Walek (Louise) of Feasterville and Richard Walek of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Maxemilian, Constantin, Christine, Amanda, Rachel, Kaitlynn and James; and also, Lucas, Eberl, Fitzpatrick, Delaney and Ella.
The family prefers memorials to Brown County Humane Society, New Ulm, Medical Center Hospice, Oak Hills Building Fund or to the donor's choice.
