She was predeceased by: her husband Jerome Ries; her siblings, Roland Hacker (Mable), Sylvester Hacker (Edna), Jerome Hacker (Audrey), Dennis Hacker (Mary) and Florence Lane; and her parents, Anton Hacker and Wilhelmina "Minnie" Hacker (Klingler).
She is survived by: her children, Harold Ries (Pat) of Palm Desert, CA, Mike Ries (Charlotte) of New Ulm, Jerry Ries (Jackie) of Beeville, TX, Tom Ries (Lynn) of North Mankato, Mary Gieseke of New Ulm and Bob Ries (Patti) of New Brighton; and her sister Linda Cooling. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren.
