He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Connie Parker (Bruce) of Durango, Sandi Soukup (Jim) of Sleepy Eye, Kenneth Bastian (Linda) of Cross Lake and Doug Bastian (Wanda) of Winona; his siblings, Gervaise Bastian of Fort Wayne, Mary Jo Bastian of Shoreview, Geraldine Hauber (Burt) of Loveland, Colorado, Wallace Bastian (Bonnie) of New Ulm, Cletus Bastian (Arlene) of LeRoy and Thomas Bastian (Lois) of Redwood Falls; his sister-in-law Lorraine Bastian of Gibbon; his wife Phyllis; his brothers, Ambrose and Jerome; and his parents, Edwin Bastian and Margaret Bastian (Steinbach). He was also cherished by Nine grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
