Leander Filzen Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leander Filzen of New Ulm, Minnesota, who passed away on November 20, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Kathy Filzen; his siblings, Erwin Filzen, Adeline Zangel (Donald), Elmer Filzen (Marie) and Doris Schroepfer (Melvin); his brother-in-law Tom Hoppe (Mercedes); and his parents, Raymond Filzen and Cecelia Filzen (Kral).
He is survived by: his children, Patti Lund (Derek) of Eyota, Deb Hillesheim (Tony) of New Ulm, Randall Filzen (Koni) of Courtland, Michael Filzen (Patty) of New Ulm and Brian Filzen (Janet) of New Ulm; and his sister-in-law Delores Filzen of Gaylord. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.
