She was predeceased by: her daughter Julie Ann Smith (Kuelbs); her brother Charles "Chuck" Hesse; her parents-in-law, Einar and Leona Kuelbs; her siblings-in-law, Jim Broich and Mary Anne Broich (Kuelbs); her aunts, Charlotte "Lottie" and Elsie Hesse; her cousins, Warren and Ives Wilson; and her parents, Kurt Hesse and Eleanora Hesse (Engel).
She is survived by: her husband Gardell Kuelbs of New Ulm; her sons, Bruce Kuelbs (Shannon McDonald) and Gary Kuelbs (Heidi Hinderman); her grandchildren, Brandon Kuelbs (Jess), Jason Kuelbs, Jessica Cipriano (Gaetano), Rebecca Fuller (Chris) and Joel Smith (Lyndsey); and her great grandchildren, Elena, Kallin, Aubrey, Kamden, Lily, Lola and Laney. She is also survived by many other relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the New Ulm Food Shelf, the Turner Ladies, or the donor's choice.
