With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Ken Fluegge of New Ulm, Minnesota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Ken left this world on April 15, 2025 at the age of 79, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his brother LuVern; his brothers-in-law, Mike Tauer, Roger Altmann and Donald Gieseke; and his parents, Martin Fluegge and Harriet Fluegge (Wischstadt).
He is survived by: his wife Christine Gieseke of New Ulm; his children, Karen Boehlke (Phil) of Eagan and Kevin Fluegge (Beth) of New Ulm; his grandchildren, Eric Boehlke (Abigail), Katie Guldberg (Zach), Trent, Anesa, Emmalie Fluegge, Cole and Kaleb Schwartz; his siblings, Sandra Tauer, Arlene Altmann and John Fluegge (LeAnna); and his siblings-in-law, Carolyn Drexler (James), Glenys Zins (Bill), Nancy Grommersch (Rick), JoAnn Gieseke, Jim Gieseke (Paulette) and John Gieseke (Trish).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – North Chapel (218 N Broadway St, New Ulm, MN 56073). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Zion Lutheran Church - Brighton (40308 541st Ave, New Ulm, MN 56073). A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery - Brighton Township (40308 541st Ave, New Ulm, MN 56073).
