It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kathleen Filzen of New Ulm, Minnesota, born in Truman, Minnesota, who passed away on October 26, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her brother Thomas Hoppe (Mercedes); and her parents, Walter Hoppe and Mae Hoppe (Knaedel). She is survived by: her husband Leander Filzen; and her children, Patti Lund (Derek) of Eyota, Deb Hillesheim (Tony) of New Ulm, Randall Filzen (Koni) of Courtland, Michael Filzen (Patty) of New Ulm and Brian Filzen (Janet) of New Ulm. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
