We bid farewell to Katherine Ann Ellanson of New Ulm, Minnesota, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 19, 2025 at the age of 82. Katherine Ann touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband Walter "Spud" Ellanson; her siblings, Joanne Funk and Donny Solberg; her brother-in-law Jim Funk; and her parents, Emil Solberg and Berdine Solberg (Kolstad).
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Ellanson of Hanska, Becky Barrett (Bill) of Hanska, Beth Ellanson of Hutchinson and Blake Ellanson (Melissa) of New Ulm; her grandchildren, Zach Barrett (Katie), Kjerstin Sullivan (Jack), Saydi Booth (Chris), Savannah Bontjes (Josh) and Riley Ellanson; her great grandchildren, Wyatt Huntley, Hadley Barrett, Autumn Sullivan, Avery Sullivan and Thea Ellanson; her siblings, Sandra Tabatt (Dale) of Lewisville and Gary Solberg of Franklin; and her sister-in-law Mary Jo Solberg of New Ulm. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (211 Summit Ave, Hanska, MN 56041). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
