It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Julia Zitzmann of New Ulm, Minnesota, born in Fairfax, Minnesota, who passed away on November 10, 2021, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Gertrude Tomaschko (Harvey), Theresa Wild (Leo), Frances Meilander (Lawrence), Ella Biebl (Herb) and Frank Ziegler Jr. (Mary); her great grandchild Elijah Weiche; her parents, Frank Sr. Ziegler and Barbara Ziegler (Boehm); and her husband Cornelius Zitzmann.
She is survived by: her children, Barb Brudelie (Gary) of Minneapolis, Becky Schneider (Steve) of New Ulm and Tom Zitzmann (Mary) of New Ulm. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Attendees are asked to wear masks out of respect for those with underlying health conditions.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Way of the Cross and to the New Ulm Area Catholic Schools.
