He was predeceased by: his wife Jeannette Altenburg; his daughter Kerry Drexler; his children-in-law, Marcia Longcor and Larry Parkinson; his brother Florian Altenburg; his brother-in-law Jerome Schroepfer; and his parents, Alex Altenburg and Hildegard Altenburg (Zangel).
He is survived by: his children, Kristie Parkinson of Grand Junction, Colorado, Mike Longcor of Chandler and Mark Longcor of New Ulm; his grandchildren, April Asfour (Isam) of Shakopee and Cryshall Wieland (Jon) of Clarksville, Arkansas; his great grandchildren, Mackenzie Larson of New Ulm, Garrett Wieland of New Ulm and Gemma Asfour of Shakopee; his sister Arlene Schroepfer of Sleepy Eye; his son-in-law John Drexler of New Ulm; his sister-in-law Gloria Altenburg of New Ulm; his niece Carol Schroepfer; and his nephews, Ron and Steve Schroepfer. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
