It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Dempsey (New Ulm, Minnesota), born in Cathay, North Dakota, who passed away on April 7, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Erma Stokes, Ray Helm, Wesley Helm, Lilas "Marj" Hammond, Arlene Kaufert, Beverly Kelley and Lowell Helm; and her parents, Jacob Helm and Emma Helm (Putz).
She is survived by: her husband Terry; her son Matt Dempsey (Anne) of Bloomington; her grandchildren, Emma and Ethan Dempsey; her sister Maxine Itzenhauser; and her former husband Terence Dempsey. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, foster children and other relatives and friends.
