He was predeceased by: his parents, James Babel and Lyla Babel (Hoffmann). He is survived by: his wife Sharon Babel of New Ulm; his daughters, Kristi and Mary Babel; his stepsons, Sonny Fite (Jill) of Minneapolis and Nicolas Fite (Carina) of Stewartstown, Pennsylvania; and his brother Tim Babel (Joan Rasmussen) of New Ulm.
