He was predeceased by: his children, Elaine Liesenfeld and Leo Liesenfeld; his son-in-law Doug Scharfencamp; his sister Adaline Bruns; and his nephew Mike Liesenfeld.
He is survived by: his wife Lydia Liesenfeld; and his daughters, Marian Kuester (John) of Courtland, Alice Andersen (Arlan) of Hanska, Lillian Scharfencamp (Todd Johnson) of New Ulm and Angela Fischer (Scott) of New Ulm. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
